About Chase
CHASE DIAMOND TOOLS LTD., established in
Hatton Garden in London in 1965, grew to become
the leading supplier of single crystal diamond
tools in the U.K.
In the 70s the Diamond polishing function was re-
located in Sandy along with a new engineering
company Chase Precision. This company
produced high specification manual and fully
automatic contact lens machines. Hatton Garden
offices were used as the companies headquarters.
Both companies were heavy involved in the
contact lens and IOL industries in the 1980s
through to the 90s.
In the late 80s Chase Diamond relocated to its
own factory in Peterborough, making room for
expansion of the engineering side in Sandy,
Bedfordshire.
In 1992 Chase Diamond Tools was purchased by
Kevin Stokes from the previous owners and
became Chase Diamond Tools International Ltd.
In the spring of 2001 Chase was moved to a larger
purpose built facility on the outskirts of Corby in
Northamptonshire.
From this facility we run our European Repair
Centre, Small batch production, Research and
Development and training centre.
